Project Highlights

Selected projects summary facilitated by the Phoenix Parks Foundation and its strategic partners:

  Mini Grants

Each year the Foundation issues five-ten “mini grants” to support and supplement programs and activities that align with our objectives and that need gap funding or that wouldn’t otherwise receive funding due to the scale of the project. This may include funding for supplies, repairs, renovations, and other improvements.

South Mountain

The South Mountain fund is utilized to preserve and maintain the

South Mountain trails.

The foundation sponsored the 100-year anniversary by investing in the upgraded signage, trailheads, and time capsule.

Fab 4th

The event enhances the 4th of July celebrations throughout the city with resources to improve safety and access.

 Zoo Lights

The Phoenix Zoo is a valued partner and offers exclusive experience to its signature event, Zoo Lights, to Parks Foundation supporters.

APS Electric Light Parade

The electric light parade is a holiday season staple that showcases the city’s initiative to provide safe, fun, festive, and family-focused outdoor events during the city’s prime weather season, which attracts thousands to this event.

Pioneer History Living Museum

A 90-acre open-air museum nestled in the black rock foothills of Northern Phoenix. Families can explore the original homes of people who helped tame the Wild West along with artifacts, antiques, and learn about this way of life from costumed performers. The foundation’s role has helped attract and manage funds for this important part of Arizona’s culture..
