Community impact
The following includes some of the community impact and open space preservation metrics by our strategic partners, the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department. As fiscal sponsors, the Phoenix Parks Foundation is responsible for the fiscal stewardship and compliance of the funds used to support some of these projects.

• 6,849 Acres of flatland parks
• 43,188 Acres of desert preserves
• 273 miles of trails
• Nearly 200 city parks community recreation centers offer affordable classes, sports and programs
• 8 municipal golf courses
• 29 public schools
• 2 historic cemeteries
• Nearly 50 after school sites
• 1 tennis center
• 92 indoor and outdoor Pickleball Courts
• Over 80 award-winning cultural and historical facilities and sides that include Heritage Square, Tovrea Castle, Phoenix Indian School Memorial, Irish Cultural Center and Japanese Friendship Garden
• 31 million visits to city parks and 17 million visits to Mountain Preserves including 3million hikers. There are 58 parks with FitPHX walking paths
